From Uruguay to the Expert in special purpose machinery

Georg Kliewer, Project-Leader

Project-Leader Georg Kliewer ist 51 years old and was born and raised in Uruguay. After immigrating to Germany in January 1977 one of his major challenges was to get credits for his already acquired educational degrees. Since for health reasons he cannot further practice his favourite hobby soccer, he now loves to hike and combine this hobby with one of his passions - travelling.

When did you join ROTODECOR and for what reason?

I joined Rotodecor in March 2004 when I was looking for a company, where I could bring in and extend my experience and knowledge in the areas of mechanical engineering like for example winding, lacquering and laminating technique or the transportation of materials. With Rotodecor, I found the right company where I can perfectly bring in all my knowledge and experience. The fact, that already before joining Rotodecor I had a lot of friends here, of course was a further reason to come. 

What did your career look like at ROTODECOR and what are your goals?

At the beginning of my career at Rotodecor, I was responsible for machinery components. Only a very short time after that, besides printing technology we opened up the coating and lacquering technology at Rotodecor - an area in which I was able bring in all my experience and creativity from the very beginning. An important driver for my passion to work is the satisfaction of our clients with our machines and plants as well as the standing of Rotodecor within the industry. Today I am working as a Project-Leader and I am looking forward to taking over further responsibility in order to maintain the fact that only machines and products with highest quality standards leave our house - ideally until my retirement.
